Rafiabad, October 13, (Scoop News)- Commenting on the present Border skirmish, Sr. Vice President J&K PCC, Former Minister and Member AICC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil today said that dialogue, unambiguously is the only way and platform to move ahead to resolve all vexed issues. He said present Central Government has not done anything to defuse border tension which has affected sizeable population and cropped up miseries for them. He said that war even on small scale brings destruction and can’t be of any help to either side. He said ultimately talks follow the war because it is the only medium we adopt in every situation. “We have already wasted more than 20 years in violence and militancy. The society has received heavy jolt on all fronts. Thousands of precious human lives have been consumed by the violence. The economy has received downward dip”, but some people still want to do politics on dead bodies.” He said that war even on small scale brings destruction and can’t be of any help to either side. Mr. Vakil was addressing party workers convention at Tragpora Rafiabad today.
While addressing the gathering Mr. Vakil expressed his serious concern over the fact that present Central Government is not seriously tackling the situation in the J&K as was done by the UPA Government during 2005 earthquake and during Uttarakhand floods. He urged the State Government to issue a White Paper on the scale of devastation and damages viz.a viz. financial and other assistance received from all sources and utilized so far; so that no body takes advantage of the situation that has arisen here. Mr. Vakil said that different NGOs working for the cause as well needs to be made accountable.
