Everytime I come across Church leaders soften their stance against corrupt governance, I feel so frustrated.
How can the country’s corrupt officials reform if some members of the Church hierarchy continue to pamper their bad deeds. The Church is for the people, if I’m not mistaken. But how come it continues to tolerate what these corrupt officials are doing to the ordinary publics.
Is it morally or spiritually correct to tolerate government officials who take advantage of their sensitive positions in government to enrich themselves at the expense of the poor taxpayers. And why shouldn’t the Church distance itself from these dirty government personalities rather than entertain their actions? Logically, it is not proper for some Catholic bishops to establish, except to correct them, relationships with government leaders who only think of themselves and their close allies to advance their personal interests.
I pity the ordinary Filipinos because even the Church doctrines have already been surrendered to the sinister wishes of those who try to fill up their pockets with gold.
