Civil Defence Udhampur takes out peace procession

 

 

          Udhampur/Jammu, October 10 (Scoop News) –Civil Defence Organization Udhampur organized a massive rally “Walk and Run for Peace and Communal Harmony” at Udhampur today.

           The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Home Guard, Civil Defence and Auxiliary Police, Jammu,  Sham Lal Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, (Controller Civil Defence), . Baseer Ahmed Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur,  Shakeel Ahmed Beig, jointly flagged off the rally from the premises of Mini Stadium Udhampur.

Over 400 participants, including students from different schools and colleges, Civil Defence Wardens and volunteers carrying placards and banners with the messages of peace and communal harmony “A community divided is a nation divided, a community united is a nation enlightened”, “War is expensive, peace is priceless”, “Communalism is a bane we are all one, one and the same”, “Communal harmony and composed symphony achieve Unity in Diversity” etc. The rally after passing through Mukherji Bazaar, Ramnagar Chowk,

Hospital Road
, Tallab Salain, Chowk Chabutra, Main Bazaar and Goal Market of Udhampur town   culminated at Mini Stadium.

Among others, Chief Warden, . Surinder Khajuria, Deputy Wardens, . S. D Kotwal and Ved Parkash, Post Wardens, Divisional Warden, Wardens and volunteers of Civil Defence participated in the rally.
