Story of a local lover is narrated to me by a lady on condition of anonymity, it was an account of a young man who was dating with his girl friend during the night in Kohat city and was eventually caught by father of her girlfriend during winter night of December, father of his girl friend called his neighbor as witness to the crime and punished the lover before a witness by pouring bucket of cold water on him.
The punishment like bath with a cold bucket of water during cold winter night of December was a most mild punishment ever received by a lover in Kohat; mostly such people are killed in the name of honor killings.
A lady in a village of Kohat was in habit of giving sleeping pills to her husband during the night to go and meet her lover, finally she had planned to get rid of her husband permanently, she has managed to buy a high potency tranquilizer from a medicine shop, it is very easy to buy any medicine from drug store in Pakistan, the customer does not need any prescription written by an authorized doctor, all over Pakistan one can buy any medicine freely. After giving a heavy dose of tranquilizer to her husband she had called her lover both had picked the bed on which poor husband was sleeping and had dropped the bed into deep well of the village, tranquilized husband was unable to save himself and have died in the well when water penetrated into him, the first information report was launched by relatives of her deceased husband in village police station, the women was arrested and was brought to City police station in Chat for investigation.
During the night investigating officer in a room located on a second story of the building of city police station was doing some sort of investigation from her when she jumped out from the window and had a fall on the road in main bazaar Kohat, with her broken bones she was arrested again but the investigating officer was terminated from his job, in office of Police Deputy Superintendent legal Kohat terminated official had narrated this story to me, afterwards terminated official was restored on his service, the lady is still facing criminal charges against he in court of law.
