Mumbai, India (GroundReport) – According to emerging reports, the battle between counter-terrorist commandos and terrorists are intensifying in Mumbai, at the Taj hotel and at the Nariman House.
The Home Ministry of India has released a statement saying that the Oberoi hotel is fully safe, and guests are being transported out of the location.
Meanwhile, one commando officer has been lost his life in the process of securing Nariman House. One commander major is also believed to have lost his life at the Taj battle against gunmen.
There are no more hostages at Taj, according to latest reports.Concurrently, commados are throwing hand grenades into rooms at the Taj Mahal hotel, where terrorists are thought to be hiding out. It is believed that there are 6 terrorists still inside the Taj. Approximately, 4777 National Security Guard (NSG) commandos are believed to be engaged in security operations.
Official figures cite eight foreign nationals have lost their lives in the attacks on Mumbai city, India’s financial captial, say reports.
The seige on Mumbai began Wednesday evening at approximately 9:45 pm Indian time and is well into its 44th hour.
