The strong critics and frazzled opponents of the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi have found a new way to neutralize his rising popularity on the national scene and his stature as the BJP’s strongest contender for the prime minister’s post in 2014 elections.
The cyber war against Modi has been started by Social Activists and Congress, its social media wings, activists and intellectuals to challenge him and BJP on social networking websites.
On Friday, reports are that the critics of Modi have decided to launch a website – pheku.in – to neutralize his growing influence in the internet world.
Social activists Shabnam Hashmi of Anhad, who runs an NGO for fighting for justice of the victims of the 2002 riots in Gujarat, is said to be the man responsible for the launch of said website.
This website is allegedly designed to check the Gujarat BJP leader’s online prominence in 25 cities throughout the country. ,
Hashmi states on the Facebook that the website would unearth many facts about Narendra Modi. Which she believes had been “buried under the mountains of lies and deceits”.
Previuosly,an Ahmedabad-based leading human rights lawyer Mukul Sinha and his close aides had launched an out-and-out website www.truthofgujarat.com with an objective to uncover Modi and present the “true picture of Gujarat”.
