Leh, August 21 (Scoop News)- The Buddhist Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama after taking three weeks retreat at His summer palace at Leh , gave religious sermon at Jivetsal Leh today in which as many as 40,000 devotees including a sizable number of foreigners attended.
Apart from highlighting the significance of Buddha’s main teaching “ the Four Noble Truth” and delivering important religious preachings, Dalai Lama strongly urged upon the people to cultivate inner development and moral principles on the basis of secular ethics, which he said, not only essential to share a congenial relationship with others but also ensures ways to lead a meaningful life.
The Buddhist Spiritual Leader said that Buddhism has comparatively gave more emphasis upon mind development with elaborative techniques and methods saying that the practice of mind development is everyone’s need which has nothing to do with the religion, and therefore, the people irrespective of religious consideration should study Buddhist technique of mind development for larger benefit in their life, the Dalai Lama quipped.
Expressing immense pleasure over sharing a congenial bonds between the Buddhists and the Muslims in Ladakh, he termed it as an exemplary unity which the Dalai Lama often use to quote at other places of the world, he added.
