Jammu and Kashmir: Despite valued suggestion extended by common and distinguished people to department of tourism about the vast potential projects in productive tourism, the department has miserably failed to act upon. Though, departmental heads had agreed with the proposals terming it revenue generating and cultural developmental, still had failed to move a single step ahead in this regard.
Going by the details of proposal presented by none other than a tourism and cultural expert cum scholar of state, namely G R Hasrat Gadda, it was proposed that Museum of coins would be installed at SPS Museum, Srinagar to preserve cultural heritage with a beginning of about 80000 coins representing different periods of history of Kashmir beginning from about 1000 BC upto great Dogra rule and onwards.

It was proposed that private individuals would be consulted through media and coins lying with hem would be purchased to display art, heritage and culture of Jammu and Kashmir, to which Jammu and Kashmir Bank could have taken a lead as per its commitment for culture and heritage. Even department of achieves and archeology would be taken on board to make the project successful.
But it is ironic that government of the day irrespective of party affiliations are totally inclined to loot the India in the name of constitutional right for demanding money at various pretexts. The sick back bone of state economy is going to death but ministers, legislators and other so called public representatives are enjoying till money of poor, downtrodden, widows, destitute and need continue to flow in the shape of annual budget or the Security Related Expenditure (SRE).
The biggest irony is that after suggestions and wisdom to earn and learn from the local resources, the government of the day irrespective of party affiliations would certainly go for central funding for establishment of the project, said critics and added that becoming a political workers in state of Jammu and Kashmir means becoming son in law of India, to which India is bound to provide budget, protocol and hospitality.
