Poetry From The Heart
Scars hide beneath her blouse
bruises exist in the heart
her mind contains paths and valleys
darkness…a daily normal
joy and happiness scare
leaves limpness and listless.
She tries to escape her jail cell
an icy cavity lives within the skeleton
heartaches and pains last…
threatens daily commitments
refusals against her will
a plan to survive her evils.
Life’s been this way since birth
dysfunctional living led to now
poor nurturing and bad scenes
abuse, no manners, no discipline
left to make own decisions
hope life is better next time around.
There are many youngster’s in today’s society that don’t get the chance to learn and
to be who they want to be because they have parents who don’t take an interest in them.
Parents remember that your children are as you train them to be – love,
respect, honesty, kindness and caring are important when raising children.
