EATING THE MANGO
Mango’s arrive along with the onset of summer. Mango is a good source of vitamin A.
We can hardly keep ourselves away from this fruit but also remember that each mango
contains about 300 calories. So along with relishing this sweet fruit, keep in mind the
instructions of your dietician.
One or two mango’s a day are considered OK. But the intake of other sweet things
should be reduced so as to maintain the calories balance. Mango is not only a good
source of vitamin A, which is good for eyes and skin, but due to its orange color, mango
is also a good source of antioxidants.
Mango is also a good source of fiber. Mango shake refreshes us and helps maintaining
the water level in our body. One or two mangos a day is alright. If you exercise
regularly, there is no need to bother about the calories. Still if you are doubt full about
the calories, a half an hour walk burns the calories obtained thro’ mango. Diabetics
should try to avoid mangos due to their sugar content.
