Edwards Continues His Offensive On Obama

Outside his campaign headquarters in Las Vegas on Friday morning, John Edwards rallied between three to four hundred supporters. This would be his last public event in Nevada before the state’s caucuses start on Saturday evening.

Once again, John Edwards has set his sights on Barack Obama. He would hit Barack Obama on praising Ronald Reagan. Also with more force, Edwards would attack Obama on the anti-Clinton Spanish radio ad from an outside group that supports the candidate from Illinois.

Hillary Clinton too had attacked Obama on the praise towards Ronald Reagan.

From what I’ve seen, Senator Obama has not said a single word about this,” Edwards said in regards to the anti-Clinton ad. He then added: “He would speak up. If he really means what he says – and this is not just talk – he should speak up and denounce this kind of divisive politics.”

At the same time and in a twist to the plot, Edwards also challenged the self-proclamation by Obama as a uniter.

“Vis a vis Senator Obama,” he said. He continued with: “I will not divide America, I will unite American when I am President of the United States.”

He too had focused the message he wanted to give to union members. It also includes the union members that belong to labor organizations that have given their support to Barack Obama such as the Culinary Workers Union.

“Regardless of who your political leadership chose to support or endorse,” he said and added, “nobody – nobody – will fight for you and the right to organize and the right to collectively bargain like I will.”

In this 13-minute, Edwards was upbeat and energetic.

“There’s no way in the world presidential campaigns should be this much fun,” he finished.
