Kohat police has arrested 105 suspects including 45 proclaimed offenders, large cache of arms and narcotics was recovered from their possession. According to District Police Officer Mr. Dilawar Khan Bangash during last fifteen days Kohat police had foiled three plans of subversion in Kohat, in limits of Ustarzai police station four terrorists along with their explosives laden car were arrested, and had diffused two powerful bombs in Kharmato and on Kohat Pindi road.
DPO Dilawar Khan Bangash has said that 105 suspects including 45 proclaimed offenders were arrested and collectively seven kilo gram gunpowder, 15 feet detonating card, 16 Mortar shells, 6 hand grenades, 3 LMG Rifles, 27 Kalashnikovs, 9 Kalakoves, 2 Stain Guns, 31 rifles, 35 shot guns, 149 pistols, 1500 cartridges, 120kg Cannabis, one kilo gram heroine, 2kg opium, and 35 bottles of alcohol were recovered from their possession.
DPO says that two gang leaders of abductors Sajid ud Din and Abdul Karim were arrested and five captives including GM Kohat cement factory and two other captives of OGDC were released from their captivity.
DPO Kohat has further added that to control movement of militants check posts on road links of Kohat with tribal areas are erected, while Quick Response Force equipped with heavy weapons and counter crime authority is activated.
Upon directions from DIG Police Kohat region Mr. Abdullah Khan in Hangu police commando’s operation 55 suspects including 17 abductors were arrested during last 17 days, during last 24 hours six armed militants were also arrested by Hangu police.
According to a press release issued by public relation department of Kohat police, during search operations in Hangu, two remote control bombs, one rocket launcher, 10 rocket shells, 12 hand grenades, 16 Klashinkovs, 2 Kalakovs, 14 rifles, 16 shot guns, 22 pistols, 36 chargers, 28kg Cannabis, 100 gram heroine, 180 gram opium, and 10 bottles of alcohol were recovered.
Hangu Police has ended no go areas under control of Taliban militants located between Kurram and Orakzai agencies near base of Taliban militants, Mamund Khur, Balyamina, Zargari, Shahu Khel, Seerozai, Meerobuk Banda, Durband and Tora Warai areas were captured by Taliban militants and were declared no go areas for general public, Hangu police have taken back these areas from Taliban militants and now public can move freely in the said areas. Police has cleared these areas and heavily armed police force has erected check posts there.
According to unconfirmed reports Tariq Afridi militant leader of Tehrik I Taliban Dara Adam Khel was killed in Feroz Khel area of Orakzai agency, when Pakistan Air Force bombers and Army Gun ship helicopters have bombed the militants hideouts in Feroz Kel on Thursday, his close accomplice Mufti Ilyas was also critically inured, and was shifted to unknown place for treatment of his injuries.
