The Maine Handicapped Skiing (MHS) Ski-A-Thon in Bethel, Maine.

MHS experienced over 700 skiers and riders taking the slopes of Sunday River and the trails of the Sunday River Inn and Cross Country Center on Saturday March 21, 2009.  This was for the organizations 24th Annual Ski-A-Thon.  This exciting fundraiser is truly "Free Skiing for a good cause".

The Ski-A-Thon is MHS’s flagship fundraising event held every March.  This action-packed day raises over 65% of MHS’s operating budget.  What a day it is…all Ski-A-Thon’ers get a free day of skiing or riding.

MHS is the largest year-round adaptive recreation program in the state of Maine for Adults and Children with physical disabilities, and is celebrating its 27th anniversary this year.

Over 100 teams formed for the Ski-A-Thon.  Team captains organized a team of five, whom together raised a minimum of $1,000 minimum to participate.

Maine Handicapped Skiing is located in Sunday River, Maine, and is open for ANY one who loves to ski.  If you would like more information on MHS please email them at   info@skimhs.org or visit www.skimhs.org.  Thank You.
