Some say it was just a coincidence that happened that day, others are not so sure, but in 1957 something rather extra ordinary happened at the American Legion headquarters building in Washington D.C.
What happened next is unclear but in July 16, 1957 a “confidential” report was prepared for the Assistant Director of the FBI’s Domestic Intelligence Division Alan H. Belmont called: “Extra Sensory Perception.”
It deals primarily with the FBI’s interest in possibly using ESP for law enforcement and intelligence gathering purposes.
Besides the FBI, the CIA and Army Intelligence was also very interested in Mr. Foos ESP research and insights at the time, all of which is outlined in some detail within this rather fascinating report.
Today this report shows up on the FBI ‘Vault’ website – under the category of ‘unexplained phenomena’.
For those interested in reading the full report, we have provided a link it to this article (below).
Bear in mind however that this is a real life “X file”, so to speak.
The events and circumstances described in this particular report (file number 63-4036) are very real.
In fact when I contacted the FBI Press office recently to confirm the authenticity of this document, I was told it relates to “an actual investigation in 1957.”
So it is about as real as it can get!
