Gandola service at Yusumarg- Nilnag- Dargah soon :Rather

Budgam/Srinagar, June 30 (Scoop News)-Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather today announced to revive the pristine glory of historicNilnag, adding that efforts are underway to bring this beautiful tourist resort at the world tourism map.
Addressing a public gathering at Buzgoo- Nilnag in Chadoora near here today, Rather said a proposal to connect Nilnag-Yusmarg-DargahPlateaah by Gandola is under active consideration of the government which will give a major boost to tourism activities in the area and help in generating employment avenues for good number of local people. He also announced to revive centuries old Maharaja road from ChowdharyGund to Nilnag via Brinjan to showcase the virgin beauty of the area. He also announced to link Nilnag with Nowhar through a new road link to provide varied choice to the tourists to visit these places.
District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmed Shah and concerned engineers and officers of the district administration were also present on the occasion.
Rather sought people’s whole hearted support to strengthening the hands of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and his government adding that an era of unprecedented development and progress has been set into motion in every nook and corner of the state to remove poverty and backwardness. The change has been well acknowledged by the people at the grass-root level, said Rather.
Rather cautioned the people against nefarious designs of some defeated politicians who want to derail the tempo of peace and development to gain their vested interests. “They didn’t deliver when in power and are now desperately trying to undermine landmark achievements of the present government by unleashing a sustained disinformation campaign based on lies. “The honour and dignity of the people of the State has always remained dearer to us and there can never be any compromise it at,” Rather assured. He said peace initiatives of the present government has paid rich dividends as the outside tourists in large number are thronging the state to refresh themselves with the breath taking natural beauty of the State. “Onus lies on people to thwart designs of the anti-peace elements with heavy hand so that the tempo of all round development was maintained,” Rather added.
Responding to the demands, Rather announced to conduct on the spot police recruitment in the area in near future, besides a play field in Buzgoo will be established. He also announced to install a 100 KV transformer in the village.
