US Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said despite the outcome of Florida’s GOP primary, he will still be part of the Thursday GOP debate at the Reagan Library.
“We fully intend to participate in the debate,” Giuliani had said speaking with his wife Judith and Governor Rick Perry R-Texas on board his campaign plane. This is an indication that he might continue on if he does not win in Florida.
“I think the winner of Florida will win the nomination, and we’re going to win Florida,” Giuliani said with nothing but confidence.
In the recent days, Giuliani had compared himself to the New York Giants as an underdog. The Giants came to win a spot in the upcoming Super Bowl against the undefeated New England Patriots.
“What were they in the last one, a seven point underdog?” Giuliani asked. He then added: “I rooted for them in the last one and they came through.”
This morning, Gov. Perry who had endorsed Giuliani last fall has joined him on the campaign trail. Perry introduced Giuliani as the one who had cleaned up New York City.
Giuliani would leap into a speech about his views such as ending illegal immigration and keeping the country on the offensive against terrorism.
“I believe in you, I believe in people – that’s why I want to keep more money in your pocket,” Giuliani said to the crowd.
