The stars of Australian cricket are expected to come in today’s funeral of 42 years Jane McGrath held at Garrison Church in The Rocks, where the couple was married in 1999.
Among the mourners were former Test cricketers Darren Lehmann, Ian Healy, Michael Bevan, together with Bevan’s wife Tracy, Jane’s best friend.
Among others expected to attend were Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma, former Test wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist and former Australian captain Mark Taylor.
Eulogies were to be given by broadcaster Alan Jones and Tracy Bevan, while Kellie Hayden, the wife of Test opener Matthew Hayden, was to read from the Bible.
Members of the public gathered outside the church, some carrying bouquets of pink and white flowers.
