Srinagar, December 16, (Scoop News)-Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK)strongly condemned the Tehreek-e-Taliban attack on an army-run school in Pakistan’s Peshawar area in which more than 130 students were reportedly killed and said “those who committed such dastardly, inhuman and unislamic acts should not call themselves Muslims”.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson of Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) Tuesday urged the authorities to release all political prisoners as there was no justification now in keeping them behind bars even after the end of “elections”.
He also expressed sadness over the silence adopted by human rights organizations and judiciary in this regard.
Terming the raids by police as “undemocratic”, the spokesperson said there is no guarantee of security of lives and properties of the people.
He said “they (authorities/police) are hell bent upon jeopardizing the future of the people”.
HCJK spokesperson said it makes no difference as to which party comes to power in Jammu and Kashmir “as they all dance to the tunes of New Delhi.”
