Unknown persons looted house of a retired soldier.
CHITRA: Unknown persons looted the house of a retired Chitral Scouts soldier in the Dizg village of Yarkhun, local residents told this scriber They said Sardar Ayub lived in Karachi along with his family and his house remained locked. On Friday night, some people barged into the house and took away all household items and valuables, including crockery, beds, sewing machine, tape recorder and TV sets.
The residents said Mr Ayub lived in Karachi and visited the village in every summer. His house is being looked after by his brother Islamuddin. However, on the day of the incident, Mr Islam was out of the village. The incident has not yet been reported to the police. The residents have expressed concern over the incident. It may be noted that for the last few years, incidents of theft in shops in the area have increased. However, the police have never taken any steps to arrest the culprits.
