While in Texarkana, Texas, US Republican hopeful Mike Huckabee has started to attack Democratic frontrunner Barack Obama. He attacked Obama’s ideas saying that it would cost Americans about $287 billion.
“I hear Barack Obama say that he’s going to provide everybody with health care and college tuition and pave the streets with gold,” Huckabee said. Then he would note that Obama’s proposals would cost at least $287 billion while saying that is a lot of money.
“What we don’t know how to figure out is how much will it cost us when we walk away and leave Iraq in a mess and the Middle East blows up, how much will that cost?” Huckabee asked.
However, it is highly unlikely that the jabs against Obama will help Huckabee out much. It is possible that GOP frontrunner John McCain and rival Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton could use this as ammunition against Obama.
Huckabee would also use the Mastercard commercial as a means to attack Obama’s proposals.
In that respect, Huckabee would say: “If were doing the Mastercard commercial we’d simply say we know what some of the costs are. Some of the items on his agenda? Priceless.”
