There have been times in my life while I’m in deep thoughts I think about Heaven and all the beauty waiting for me to see; and what it will be like when Jesus greets me into His Kingdom, and saying, "Welcome my friend, welcome to the Kingdom of God.
I’m sure there are a lot of Christians who have had these same thoughts and it brings joy and happiness to their hearts too as it does to mine. It’s such a blessing to know that God is preparing a place for His children to live eternally with Him in Heaven.
In the Bible in John 17: 24 Jesus tells people that God wants them to be with Him in Heaven and I’m looking forward to the journey one of these days too. When I read the Bible it also provides me a lot of verses to help me fulfill my imaginary imaginations about how Heaven will be, and it also brings me a sense of peace and contentment to know I’ll be there with Jesus one day.
In the Bible in John 14: 2 – 3 Jesus tells people, "In my Father’s house are many mansions: it was not so, I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
In the above two verses it allows Christians to realize they will meet Jesus in Heaven where He went to prepare a glorious place for them to live with Him eternally. Jesus wants His people to be with Him in His Kingdom. He tells people in Luke 23: 43, "Verily I say unto thee, to day shall you be with me in paradise."
God loves each and every one of His children, He always has and He always will. Jesus knew His children even before they were in their Mother’s womb and He’ll never forsake or abandon them either. Christians need to understand that God wants His children with Him because He loves them and cares about whom they’re and what they do. He hears people’s prayers and their pleas and He will guide them in His light throughout their lives.
In the Bible in Psalm 16: 11 and in Matthew 7: 14 it tells people, "You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore." "Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it."
These two verses above allow me to know there will be a pathway in Heaven for each one of God’s children and it will be full of rejoicings, joys, and pleasures too.
Christians have a lot of things to look forward to when they get to Heaven, and in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 13: 12 it tells us, "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
When Christians walk the streets of Heaven, I’m a firm believer they’ll know each other as they’ve been known on earth, and I also believe this is based on the above verse of the Bible. God thought of everything and Christians will know each other when they’re in Heaven.
In the Bible in Matthew 8: 11 Jesus tells people, "And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdow of Heaven."
This allows me to believe that Christians will know each other and have relationships with each other too in Heaven. Can you just imagine for a second how great it will be to recognize and to communicate with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? What a great reunion Christians will have when they gather together in Heaven to rejoice, to listen to stories of old, and to sing praise hymns while sitting with Jesus Christ.
The Bible also tells us in Hebrews 12: 22 – 23, "But you are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the Heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in Heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect."
In the above verses the Bible is telling people we will meet at the place of ultimate reality where we will live in the presence of God and serve Him, and in Matthew 25: 23 Jesus says, "His lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord."
Christians God has gone to prepare a place for us; and when He comes to take us to Heaven, we will be in His presence as He welcomes us to enter into His Kingdom. There will be joy and happiness like we’ve never experienced before and we’ll be capable of knowing we’re in Heaven with Jesus where we will live "forever" more.
It’ll be as the gospel song reads, "When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory."
In closing this article, a reminder came to mind, in the Bible in 11 Corinthians 5: 17 it tells people, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new."
Christians I’m a firm believer we have a great day ahead of us and that is when Jesus calls us to His Kingdom, and He says, "Welcome my friend, welcome to the Kingdom of God where you’ve found eternal life."
