<div>At the dawn of independence the path ahead, though full of uncertainties, seemed rosy with hope; it was like the joy of a newly married couple starting a new life in a small house, but Independently, free to make mistakes and correct them, but no one to boss over or bully them. Democracy remains India’s pride.</div>
<div style="text-indent: 36pt">Now we celebrate India’s 60<sup>th</sup> year of Independence and look forward confidently to this occasion, more than the political and economic roads that we have traveled, the cultural and social paths that we have meandered through make interesting, scrutiny.</div>
