Jammu, July 03 (Scoop News)- Alert troops of Indian army foiled yet another bid of infiltration by a group of armed intruders in Krishna Ghat Sector in the wee hours of Thursday,a defence spokesman told Scoop News.
Exchange of fire between armed intruders and army troops is on and there is no casualties reported on this side till the report last came in, he added.
It may be mentioned that Indian troops also foiled an infiltration bid by a group of inflitraters in Krishna Ghati Sector post on the intervening night on July 1 and 2, a on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile security has been beefed up ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir on July 4.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the rail link between Udhampur and Katra, on July 4 visit Vaishno Devi Shrine and fly to Srinagar, on the same day,to review the security scenario in the state with senior functionaries of the Army and other security agencies.
As per the programme, Prime Minister on his arrival in the state would straightway go to Katra to inaugurate the Katra-Udhampur rail link covering a distance of 25 km. He will visit Kashmir the same day to inaugurate 240 MW Uri-II hydroelectric projects.
Reports said that troops have been put on the alert so that militants, waiting on the launch pads across the LOC,were not in a position to make fresh ingress bids for disrupting peace in the state.
