An Indonesian maid got herself jailed for seven months after she was found guilty of sending threatening SMS to a man whose daughter is he subject of a nationwide hunt.
Sharlinie Mohd Nashar was lost for almost a month now and still there are no trace of her. The Police had been combing the city of Kuala Lumpur now and still there is no clue as to her whereabout.
Sharlinie was apparently snatched while playing with her friends at a playground not far from her house. Her disappearance prompted the police to mount a house-by-house search in the city. They believed that Sharlinie was still in the city.
It was with the hope of getting easy money and boredom that drove Sudarwanti, an Indonesian maid,to send threatening SMS to Sharlinie’s father, Mohd Nashar.
The mobile phone that she used was registered to her employer who is living in Taman Medan,Kuala Lumpur. She used the phone while her employer was out working. Sudaryanti also acknowledged that this was the handphone she used to send all those messages.
When questioned by the police why she send the SMS, Sudaryanti replied that she was bored and also hoped to be paid according to her messages.
Sudaryanti was represented by Senior Superintendant of Police, Setyo Wasisto, who also represented the Indonesian embassy.
Senior Superintendant Setyo said that Sudaryanti would be deported immediately after serving her seven months sentence..
