Jammu, January 27 (Scoop News) – J&K Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today appreciated political maturity and responsibility of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for not falling prey to the emotional black mailing and exhibiting clear vision and determination for peace in the State.
“By maintaining calm and helping normal run of life despite designs by certain politicians to destabilize State’s tranquility during Republic Day celebrations and hoisting of National Flag, is worth praising and highly appreciable”, he said and made special reference to the prudence and wisdom shown by the people of Jammu on the occasion by foiling efforts aimed at creating tension and law and order situation.
Speaking at a function of Rural Development Department at Zorwar Auditorium in
“We are working hard to bring back normalcy and put the State’s economy back on track”, he said adding that creation of law and order situations in the present crucial time is by all means uncalled for and an act of political gimmicky and petty politicking.
Expressing the hope that people will continue to remain vigilant on this count and help positively in cultivation of permanent peace and tranquility in the State for all round development and creation of employment opportunities to youth, he said that Government’s endeavours for comprehensive development get badly affected by these tactics aimed at political mileage.

Omar Abdullah said that hundreds of development schemes have been launched in the State to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the State and also sub-regions. “There is urgent need of maintaining peace and creating conducive atmosphere for development process”, he said and sought cooperation of every citizen of the State in this direction.
“Programmes aimed at peace destabilization for petty political gains are in no way in any body’s interests. Such activities may have timely effects but in the long run these are seriously detrimental to the larger public interests and welfare of the State”, he said and emphasized on shunning such practices.
