Jack Nash, a millionaire investor and hedge fund manager, has died at age 79.
Jack Nash founded Odyssey Partners hedge fund in 1982 with his partner Leon Levy using $50 million of their own and investors money. Nash also worked for and became one of the chairman of the investment banking firm Oppenheimer & Co. In 1982, he sold Oppenheimer & Co. to British interests for $163 million.
Jack Nash was also one of the founders of the New York Sun newspaper which debuted in 2002.
Jack Nash is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Englander, his two children Pamela and Joshua and six grandchildren.
