Srinagar, September 15 (Scoop News)- Stressing upon the young artists to avail the opportunities provided by Jammu and Kashmir Police to excel in the field of art, the Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad has said that the Organisation has been conducting various activities under its Civic Action Programme to cultivate talent among the youth of the State. He said that such events are conducted with the aim to provide a plate form for the reputed artists to share their experiences with the budding artists of the State and hone their talent.

Similarly, the state level artists participating in the workshop include Javed Iqbal, Mohammad Yousuf Bacha, Mrs. Masarat Mehboob, Rakesh Kumar, Madasir Gull, Arshad Hussain and K. K. Gandhi.
After inaugurating the Workshop at Police Auditorium, PHQ here this evening, the DGP said that such workshops are aimed at to provide an opportunity to the youth of the State to witness the performance of artists of national fame and utilize their bubbling energies for their betterment. He said that the Camp will motivate our youth to come forward and excel in the field of art. The Organization has been focussing to provide national platform to the budding artists of the State in this field, said the DGP.
While interacting with the participating artists, Prasad said that art provides an opportunity to share experiences with each other and know about the culture of the different regions of the country. He said that
The DGP said that the “men in khaki” are the part of the society and they also have a human heart and feeling in their body for the progress of the State. The youth have to play a significant role in nation building and need to be guided properly and encourage for ensuring a bright future for them. He said that people from all walks of life have to play their role in confidence building among the youth.

Rajendra Kumar, extended a very heartiest welcome to Chief Guest, artists from different parts of the country and senior officers for gracing the occasion. He disclosed that the workshop would conclude on 21st September 2012 at officers mess Humhama. He appealed the people in general and artl lovers in particular to witness the workshop and attend the concluding function.
