J&K Education Minister for collective efforts to strengthen composite culture

 

Jammu, December 01 (Scoop News) –   Lauding people of the State for keeping up high traditions of communal harmony and brotherhood during turbulent times, the Minister for Education and Public Enterprises Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has said that mature citizenry of Jammu and Kashmir has thwarted attempts of vested interest, who attempted to fuel violence and destabilize the State.

Addressing a ‘Joint Festival Mela’ at Reasi today, the Minister said mutual coexistence and harmonious living have been characteristics of the State’s, composite culture for which all the people, political parties and social groups need to contribute positively.

Peerzada said that all round development of all the three regions of the State especially backward and hilly areas is the top priority of the government adding that several measures have already been initiated in this pursuit. He said that the Centre is providing liberal funds to usher in prosperity and development in the State.

The Minister said that sufficient funds have been released to the district education authorities for improvement of quality education augmentations infrastructure in backward areas. He announced Rs. 5 Lakh for the development of Higher Secondary School, Poony. He said that free uniforms would be provided to all poor  students enrolled in government schools upto middle standard.

Responding to the complaint with regard to dishonesty of engagement of Rehaber-e-taleem teachers, the Minister said that a team would be sent to Reasi and Poony block to check the irregularities in this regard. He said that we are committed to engage ReTs in a transparent manner.

While addressing the gathering, Minister of State for Hajj and Auquaf  Aijaz Ahmad Khan said that during last couple of years, the developmental scenario has gained momentum and steps are been taken to bring more speedup implementation of various schemes.

Calling upon various political parties to take serious steps for ensuring prosperity of the state,  Aijaz khan said that mutual cooperation is  essential for providing congenial atmosphere for restoration of peace and progress

Minister of State for Cooperative Dr. Monahar Lal Sharma on this occasion said that the state Government is striving to work for poor and down trodden communities and several initiatives have already been taken to mitigate their grievances.

Former Minister  Jugal KIshore also spoke on the occasion.
