Srinagar, October 05 (Scoop News) – N. N. Vohra, Governor, launched the free on-line counseling offered by ‘The Inner Call’, Forum for Evolution, Development and Awareness in regard to health and related issues of de-stressing for domestic violence and child abuse stress management, at a function held at Raj Bhavan here today.
Ms. Roma Wani, Chairperson, ‘The Inner Call’, briefed the Governor about the activities of this non-profit organization and said that it has been established with a view to promoting human values. She added that ‘The Inner Call’ undertakes awareness programmes, particularly focusing on de-addiction, popularizing the latest farm technology, affording a platform to the youth to develop their artistic talents and also for promoting sports and women empowerment.
The Governor complimented Ms. Wani and lauded her initiative of establishing ‘The Inner Call’. He observed that awareness is vital to the prevention and cure of social and health related problems and, therefore, all initiatives must be encouraged to enlarge the awareness of the people at large, particularly in regard to health related problems. He was happy to observe that the number of youth taking keen interest in sports and cultural activities had been increasing and complimented the role played by ‘The Inner Call’ in supplementing the efforts of the Government in this regard.
The Governor hoped that the awareness campaigns being carried out by ‘The Inner Call’ would focus sharply on the promotion of education and healthcare, particularly of women and children. He expressed the hope that the people would take full advantage of the free on-line counseling being provided by experts.
