Later, the Ministers inaugurated seminar on National Continuing Medical Education on Safe Blood Transfusion.
The function is organized by Post Graduate Department of Immunohaematology and Blood Transfusion Medicine,
As many as 16 speakers and 66 delegates from across the country would participate in the seminar.
For safe preservation of donated blood, Chib emphasized on using modern technology reminding that Jammu Blood bank is one among the 15 model Blood Banks of the country. He said efforts are being taken to upgrade the Srinagar Blood bank at par with
Javid Ahmad Dar described it as an important session for medical fraternity adding that the same will help to gain expertise from national level experts. He said a vigorous campaign is needed for motivating the people to donate the blood to help the needy people.
He said voluntary organizations is playing vital role to involve maximum youths for blood donation and added that voluntary blood donation has increased from 25 percent to 76percent.
The Ministers also released souvenir of national continuing medical education on the occasion.
