Jammu, February 15 (Scoop News) – -Minister for Higher Education, Labour and Employment, Abdul Gani Malik during his inspection of J&K State Overseas Employment Corporation Limited,79-80,35,3rd Floor, Satkar Building, at Nehru Place,New Delhi today directed the officers to explore more and more avenues for the unemployed skilled youth within and outside the country especially in the gulf countries.
He directed the General Manager, Marketing to approach Ministry of Health, Govt. of Saudi Arabia for adjustment and recruitment of qualified doctors, nurses and para-medical personnel.
Stressing for enhancing the employability of the youth of the State by providing them international standard training in various skills, the Minister directed that the matter should be taken up with the International Organization for Migration to the establishment of Certification and Training facility in the State so that the unemployed youth are properly trained in the state for overseas assignments.
Malik asked the officers of the corporation to organize awareness programmes at district level so that unemployed people are sensitized at grass root level about various programmes and initiatives of the corporation. Mr Malik appealed the youth to come forward and register themselves with the J&K Overseas Employment Corporation so that the Corporation is able to find better employment opportunities in the international job market for them.
Pertinently, the state Government has authorized District Employment and Counseling Centres of the State to register the unemployed youth for their placement against the avenues available overseas.
