Jammu, October 06(Scoop News)-JPPF called upon the political representatives of Jammu and Kashmir not to ignore Oath of Allegiance to constitution of India after they were voted to power.
Th. Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj President JPPF was addressing a Press Conference at Thakkar Sabha in the presence of Inderjeet Khajuria, Amrit Magotra, Prof. Devender Sharma, Kr. Naryan Singh, Gajan Singh Khajuria, Avinash Bhatia, M.L Sharma, Gajan Singh Khalsa, R.L Tandon, Sunita Sharma, Rajesh Chandan, R.P Singh Slathia, Ram Pal and Rajiv Mahajan.
Pavittar Singh said that People of Jammu often feel offended when the elected Politicians question the veracity of accession of Jammu and Kashmir with Union of India. They consider it a revolt against the constitution on India.
Referring directly to the recent statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdulla during his meeting with the European delegation, stating that the accession does not mean merger, the president said that there seems no differencing the two statements one by Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the other by the separatist Gelani.
The statement of Chief Minister creates uncertainty and favours separatists view.
The C.M should not have made such a Statement, especially before the foreign delegation as he is bound by the Oath of allegiance to constitution of India.
The President Th. Pavittar Singh lauded the statement of public Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma who, taking offence to the statement of the C.M, dared him to quit the office if he felt that the accession of State with Union of India did not mean merger.
JPPF stands strongly committed to fully support leaders like Sham Lal Sharma as heretofore, who speak and stand firmly for the people of Jammu. The forum also appeals to all other Ministers, MLAs, MLCs hailing from Jammu province to have a united face against the fundamentalists and separatists from the Valley and also while addressing the discrimination with Jammu by the Kashmir centric State Government. Warning the separatists the President maintained that there is no dispute over the integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India which is full and final, As voiced unanimously by the parliament, and those who differ are free to leave the state.
Speaking on the issue of grant of relief to Jammu migrants the president Th. Pavittar Singh referred to the Supreme Court of India order of 2006 wherein the State Government was directed to treat Jammu migrants at Par with Kashmiri migrants. It is regrettable that the State Govt. has not implemented this verdict till date. It is given to understand that State Govt. has requested the Ministry of Home affairs Government of India to allot funds to the tune of 91 chores FDR rehabilitation of Jammu migrants displaced from Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban during 1995-96 and POK refuges. It is also reported that Ministry of Home affairs and has turned down the proposal JPPF appeals to the Chief Minister to personally intervene and pressure the matter with GOI. In the meantime the State Govt. should continue with the relief being given to Jammu migrants.
