Jammu, July 13 (Scoop News)-Panun Kashmir convener Dr Agnishekhar while addressing a gathering of activists and several social workers at historic Jiapota Ghat ,Akhnoor,Jammu said the 13 July has been a shocking experience of innocent Kashmiri Pandit community who were made the targets of wide spread communal violence and frenzy as ramification of police firing on the riot-mongering mob incited by one Abdul Qadeer ,a resident of Peshawar and a stooge of British conspirators.
He asserted that the infamous communal Riot that engulfed Srinagar on 13 July 1931 was the culmination of the prolonged intrigues by the British to teach Maharaja Hari Singh a lesson who had in Round Table Conference advocated India’s independence from British.
Justifying the observance of this so-called martyrs’ day as Black Day by Kashmiri Bhattas , Panun Kashmir National Co-ordinator Sanjay Dattatrey paid rich tribute to the Kahmiri Pandit victims of Kanikoot village ,Vicharnag,Maharaj Ganj Srinagar and other places in the valley. He said the need of our is to remember the sacrifices of those Kashmiri Hindus who were killed in cold blood for no fault of theirs and best tribute to them would be to launch an intensified struggle for achievement of separate homeland as only solution to Kashmiri Pandit problem.
Earlier the activists of Kashmira Vahini paid flower tributes at the KP memorial of Mahashraddh built in the memory of members of the community and security forces who fell to the bullets of terrorists in Kashmir.
Dr.Khema Kaul national spokesperson Kashmira Vahini wondered about the tone and tenor of tributes paid to so called martyrs of 13th July by Chief Minister of state respectively.
Senior activists who also pay tribute to the victims OF 13TH July 1931 on the occasion include Rajaji Tiku, Omkar Nath Bhatt, O J Kaul, Pradiman Upmanyu,Sushma Reshi,Sudesha Kaul,Nirmala Tikoo,Vijaya Saproo,Gaytri Hashia,Vijaya Khoda,Ashtoush Kaul and A.K.Reshi.
