Srinagar/Jammu, December 03, (Scoop News)- BJP State Secretary & Incharge ST & Muslim Morcha, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana accused the Kashmir based leadership of Congress, NC and others regional parties for exploiting the innocent Gurjjars, Shias, Paharis, backward, BPLs and other marginalized sections of the society at the behest of Article 370 for the last six decades. The participation of thousands of Muslim from different ethnic groups from every district of the state in their colorful traditional dresses in December 01 Lalkar Rally sent a wave of shock among the Kashmir based leaders. They all were joyous to listen from Narendra Modi himself that he knew about Gurjjar–Bakerwals and it was applauded when he linked Gurjar word with Gujrat saying that they are our people in the Lalkar rally.
Er. Khatana told the Kashmir based leaders that these marginalized sections of the society is no more their chained labourers. He said about five lakh nomadic gurjjars Bakerwals are living in miserable conditions under open skies, without clean drinking waters, schools, no benefits of MNREGA, NRHM, no ration-card, no idea of BPL scheme etc. He also accused the NC- Congress Govt. for mortgaging their centuries old pastures and Dhokes and selling the same to the corrupt elements as a result of which their richest ever culture is dying.
Er. Khatana alleged that the govt. is taking hundreds of crores of rupees for the development of these sections of the society but swindling the huge sums of this money or diverting it to the privilege purpose at the behest of 370.
Er. Khatana further accused the leadership of Gurjjar, Paharis, Shias and others in the NC-Cong and other Kashmir based regional parties for working at the dictates of their political bosses and thus compromising the interests and cause of their own communities. These handful of self claimed leaders of these communities are playing in the hands of the wise politicians without realising the fact that they are in fact doing harm, which is indeed very unfortunate and these leaders should shed their love for the Kashmir-centric dispensation and devote their time towards own communities.
Er. Khatan said although the special status was said to be temporary but for the fruits of development must have been extended to all the segments instead of just sixty families. He further said that these few families have always misused the special status and created confusions among different sections of the society for their political motives without thinking that the STs, SCs, OBCs in the state have been deprived of the benefits and rights enjoyed by their counterparts in other state of the country.
He expressed hope that the good sense will prevail and the said communities will have change in the mindsets of their leaders so that their voices are raised honestly at appropriate fora.
