Lawari Rail Tunnel will bring great changes and revolution in Chitral DCO.
CHITRAL: After completion of Lawari Rail Tunnel fate of this area would automatically changed as Chitral is a gate way to Central Asia and shortest route to these Republics said District Coordination Officer Chitral Mutasim Billah during a meeting of elites of Ashriat, Baradam and Ziarat villages whose land would be used for 2 Kilometers tunnel and 2 Km approach road to plate North portal of the tunnel. He said Chitral is a peaceful area and due to its geographically structure there is only 5-6 months practical life due to heavy snowfall and blockage of the only land route at Lawari Pass. As a result Chitral remain isolated and disconnected with other sorts of the country. He said Lawari Rail tunnel having great importance for the people of Chitral as respiration pipe for a human life. After completion of this tunnel untapped mineral, natural resources and other potential would be explore and they would be get linkage to national and international market.
He said scarification of these people whose land is using for 2 km tunnel, plate form and approach road will never be go useless but it will be cause for changing of fate of 4 lac people of the area. He was addressing to a delegation elites of these 3 villages whose land was handed over to NHA for completion of access road. People of the area were demanding to enhance rates and price of their land. Hence DCO Chitral assured them of his fully cooperation as well as during recruitment in this project all staff from BPS1-5 would be recruited from this area among the affected people. As well as other assistant would be strongly recommended for these people and the case would be send to Provincial government. He said due to great importance of Lawari tunnel for this area people of Chitral should to work and detail 100 labors daily free of cost so as to complete the tunnel earlier.
He said no nation can be success without rendering their sacrifices for a task and no area can be develop without road and network of communication. As 37% people are still living below the poverty line in our country due to different reasons. He stressed upon the local people to must cooperate and support Korean and other foreigners of SAMBU company who working in very difficult condition in the Lawari tunnel. No factory no industry can success without a road and that is why that the rich potential of mineral, tourism, dry and fresh fruit of the area never utilized due to disconnecting of Chitral for 4-5 months a year.
