Token Hunger Strike entered 2nd Month.
Hunger Strike by Primary School Teaching (PST) qualified but jobless youth entered in 2nd month. They have set in a hunger strike for the last 2 months. At first they were exercising token hunger strike for 6 hours a day for 1 and half month but due to no action by the authority they announced of continuation of their hunger strike for 12 hours continuously which will be gradually extended for more than 12 hours. Members of hunger strike camp announced that if their genuine demand was not fulfilled they will continue their hunger strike until their death.
It is worth to mention here that more than 150 youth (male/female) have qualified their Primary School Teaching (PST) Course and they are still jobless. They are demanding that PST qualified youth may be recruited on batch wise/session wise policy in School and Literacy Department by giving chance and preference in recruitment of teachers to those who had qualified their professional courses earlier so as to save them from over aging.
A local court also had verdict last year in their favor but the court decision was ignored by Education department.
