Drug manufacturing in Syria has halted and getting medicine from outside is extremely difficult. Available medical care gives priority to those injured in the conflict. Women and children suffering from chronic health problems or domestic injuries – including burns – are not getting care. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has responded to the need for medical care by opening three hospitals in Syria.
