Nigeria will be hosting one of the world’s respected personality this month. Lord Mayor of the city of London, Alderman David Lewis, will be in Nigeria Between may 27 and 31st, a statement by the British High Commission in Abuja, said on wednesday.
According to the statement signed by 2nd secretary (political), of thge commmission, james McLaughlin, the aim of the Mayor’s visit is to improve bilateral, commercial, financial and political relations between the united Kingdom and Nigeria.
The statement added that Lewis would seek to improve the city of London’s Links with Nigeria’s rapidly expending financial services sector. It said the Lord Mayor visit would reinforce democracy, good governance and reform in the country, as well as, engage president Umaru Yar’Adua and his Ministers, Including the Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
