Police are having trouble getting Mayra Lizbeth Rosales, 27, charged with first degree murder, to jail. It is not because the woman is on the run or living under an alias but because she weighs nearly 1,000 pounds and can’t fit through any doors in her house much less a police cruiser.
Mayra Lizbeth Rosales is charged in killing her 2 year-old nephew, Elisio Gonzalez, Jr. An autopsy on the boy determined he had been struck in the head more than once. The boy’s aunt, Jaime Rosales, was charged with injury to a child because she left her son with her negligent and violent aunt.
Police are not sure how they are going to transport Mayra Lizbeth Rosales to jail, court or anywhere for that matter. Physically moving the bedridden giant will be an epic task and keeping her in prison without access to the medical care she needs to survive would probably result in her death.
As you can see in the picture, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office had to take Rosales mug shot from her bed.
