Katra/Jammu,October 12 (Scoop News) – As part of ongoing Navratra Festival, Mission Dosti, Rustam-E- Indo- Pak wrestling contest would be held at Vivekanand Sports Stadium Katra, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine on October 14, 2010.
The mega wrestling event is being organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association with the active support of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, J&K Tourism Department, Navratra Festival Committee, Katra Municipal Committee, District Administration and public Katra.

The president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association who is also a member of J&K sports council and Navratra Festival Committee informed that the prominent wrestlers who have confirmed their participation till date include Sumit ( Delhi Kesari- 2009), Parveen Raina from Akhra Sat Pal recipient of Gold Medal in Youth Common Wealth Games, Amit Kumar ( Gold Medal Asia cadet), Ram Pal Bholu from Akhra Naresh Dehiya, Rehamat Ali and Gani from Mlair Kotla, Satinder, Somveer, Kamal Jyot, all from Akhara Subash Coach Khanna, Jagroop Bhaga from Akhra Padrath Phalawan Aitsar and Mantoo from Akhara Lala Ram Delhi.
Sharma disclosed that another team of six wrestlers from
6th in series, Mission Dosti Rustam-E- Indo- Pak historic Wrestling competition was organized for the first time during 2005, Sharma added that event is being organized to promote peace and brotherhood in this sub-continent by means of sports.
District Administration Reasi has have made elaborate arrangements of for Rustam-E-Indo-Pak wrestling contest.
It is pertinent to mention here that Indian wrestler from Haryana won the “Mission Dosti” wrestling title by defeating his Pakistani arrival Bashir Bhola, who is also known as “Rostem-E-Pakistan” and “Rostem-E-Asia”.
