There is exactly fourteen days left until Election Day on November 4, 2008. On that day, the next United States President will be elected. It will be either GOP Presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona or Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois.
From now and until Election Day, we can expect to have a whole bunch of poll results launched. This recent poll is but one of them. So far, the results are in favor of Obama and not in favor for McCain.
According to the new CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll, the number of Americans that feel McCain has unfairly attacked Obama is growing. In short, more and more people feel that the attacks on Obama are not fair. Whether or not it will affect McCain’s campaign chances remain to be seen.
Anything CAN and WILL happen between now and Election Day.
So far, the poll shows that about six out of ten Americans feel the attacks are unfair. It is revealed that this percentage is higher from the results back in September.
However, there are some positives for McCain. According to the poll results, McCain holds the better experience. It also adds on the topics of Iraq and national security.
While the results show that more feel that Obama would be a stronger leader, it is only a slight lead over McCain. Again, that result can change between now and Election Day. Nothing is for certain until Election Day and perhaps another few days after.
So far, the attacks on Obama’s tax plan as “socialist” along with attacks on his connection with William Ayers (founder of the Weather Underground) may have hurt the McCain campaign more than it helped.
In short, the poll results show that more Americans think McCain is unfairly attacking Obama. Remember, this is just a poll result. We have to remember that these results can change at any given instance.
