Ashok Khajuria, while reacting to the recent statement of Syed Ali Shah Geelani opposing the construction of road to the holy cave of Baba Amarnath ji, said that it has become a matter of routine for the Kashmir based political parties and separatist organizations to make such statements which are aimed at pleasing the Kashmiris and hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. He said that it was the result of the anti-Hindu approach of a handful of Kashmiri leaders that led to 2008—historic 63 day long agitation, which witnessed massive anger among the masses and about two dozen people sacrificed their lives for their religion.

Khajuria also criticized the CAPD department for taking such decisions which cannot be tolerated as the same are not in the interest of a poor family. He said that fixing the monthly quota of atta to 20kg and that of rice to 10kg per family is one more step of the anti-people government to drive them towards hunger and suicides.
Khajuria was accompanied by BJP Distt. President Rajesh Gupta, Senior leader Bansi Lal Bharti, Mandal President Sunil Dogra, Ex-corporator of the Ward Gulshan Mahajan, SC leader Jagjeevan Lal and dozens of prominent social activists and office bearers of the Bazar Association.
