New GroundReport Feature: Anonymous Post

Dear GroundReport Community,

Rachel Sterne has moved on to her new job as the Chief Digital Officer in the Mayor’s Office of the City of New York.  We wish her the best and will miss her.

A new team is trying to fill her shoes at GroundReport.  It will not be easy.

Our first initiative is to launch Anonymous Post.  This feature can be found on the Post tab.  This new feature will enable a reporter to post completely anonymously.  The feature was designed with the recent violence against correspondents in mind.  We are looking for a way to give people voice without putting them in harms way.

Anonymous Post will be carefully edited and vetted so that it is not abused by spammers or propagandists.  To that end, the volunteer editors at GroundReport will have an increased workload and grave responsibility.

We also need the involvement of the whole GroundReport community.  Please report any abuse or commit fact checks to abuse@groundreport.com.

I have inserted a screenshot of Anonymous Post.  Note that you can now insert images directly into an article using the new composition interface. Another improvement by the development team.  If you would like to volunteer for the technical team, please email info@groundreport.com.
