Srinagar, December 22, (Scoop News)- ‘ Intensifying its activities,Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference on Sunday conveyed a day long delegates session of district Srinagar under the leadership of party chief Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat.
The session was attended by leaders representing district Srinagar.
During the session delegates discussed party affairs and current global political situation viz-a-viz Kashmir issue.
Addressing delegate’s Bhat reaffirmed to continue its peaceful political fight till Kashmir gets resolved as per the whishes and aspirations of the people for which they have given sacrifices.
Bhat said international political trends, global political cltural and economic priorities clearly depict that there is no space for extremism and constitute base for dispensation, therefore eschewing extremism, we should follow moderation for our birth right.
He said that we should also take into consideration of atomic weaponization of India and Pakistan as well as the China’s marine strategy and political clout.
JKMC chief said that peace and stability can never happen in vacuum but has to happen on ground; therefore it will happen when lingering Kashmir issue gets resolved peacefully. He said that Muslim Conference as constituent of APHC supports dialogue and welcomes resumption of purposeful Talks between India-Pakistan at any stage, however, he maintained that for making them credible Kashmiri leadership must be included into talks which can only yield results.
Bhat said atomic weaponization of of India and Pakistan has involved whole region and if Kashmir remains unsettled, it can prove disastrous for whole area so it is imperative for both the countries to take bold initiatives for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
