Is there such a thing as win in war? Really, can you tell me how anybody can be considered a winner. Families are torn apart, young bright lives are destroyed, lives are lost, and innocent people are forced to suffer. If you look back on past wars, such as World War II where according to Wikipedia 72,155,800 civilian and soldiers lives were lost on both sides of the war, or in Vietnam where more than 1.5 million people died, how can that be a victory? Millions of children lost their dads, women lost their husbands, and mothers and fathers lost sons. Yet, once again we are all on the losing end of the stick. It doesn’t matter if we are talking about the Iraqi’s, Americans, Britons, or Australians we’re all losing. What does matter is that once again lives are being lost and lives are being destroyed for many young men and women, mothers and fathers, and worst of all children.
This isn’t just about country-to-country warfare, its also about country-in-country warfare. Whether we’re talking about gangs, religions, nationalities, it doesn’t matter no one is winning any of the "wars" anywhere. On the streets of Camden, NJ to Beirut or Baghdad, the wars are worldwide.
Maybe this is what World War III was supposed to look like. Not country to country annhialation but regular everyday people going to war with each other for colors of clothing, for religion, or for ethnic backgrounds. Which than explodes over borders and drags the rest of the world in there "wars" with them. Hence the name World War. If you have payed attention in history class you can plainly see no one wins when it comes to war. Millions upon millions have died in war, wars that for the most part have been avoidable. When will this world realize war is not an answer to all our differences, and a life is worth way more than any difference between nation or culture. This has to end, we can’t keep losing lives that are worth more than the oil we war for or for the religions we kill for.
