Jammu, January 25 (Scoop News) – Condemning the attitude of the administration in crossing all the limits and adopting repressive measures to silent the peaceful protestors, BJP Chief spokesperson & National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh said that today’s outrage against democracy will go down as a dark day in the history of independent India as the day long developments were reminiscent of British Rule when no one was allowed to utter a word of dissent or register protest against the administration.
Talking to reporters Dr. Jitendra said it was unfortunate that nationalist people drawn from all corners of the country were punished for carrying Indian tricolour and raising Bharat Mata Ki Jai. In doing so, the government has got itself totally exposed by showing extreme disresepct for the national symbols and presenting poor image of the J&K state not only in the country but worldwide as a result of which this is now no longer an issue confined to BJP alone but a matter of concern for all the nationalist citizens of Indian Republic living in India as well as abroad.

All most entire leadership of Jammu & Kashmir BJP was put under arrest they included prominent State President Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member National Executive & former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh, Vice-presidents Bali Bhagat, Suresh Jamwal, Anil Gupta, Som Raj Khajuria, all the 11 party MLAs including Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Ashok Khajuria, Jugal Kishore, Durga Dass, Prof. Gharu Ram, Baldev Raj, Ch. Sukhnadan, Jagdish Sapolia, Master Lal Chand, Bharat Bhushan and Ch. Shyam, General Secretaries Satish Sharma and Sat Sharma, State Secretary Mamta Singh, former Mayor Kavinder Gupta, National BJYM Vice-president Pawan Khajuria and BJYM State President Munish Sharma, BJP Distt. Vice-president Vikram Randhawa.
Among leaders of BJP and BJYM from outside the state who were taken into detention included BJP National Secretary Vani Tripathi, National General Secretary Nitin Naveen, BJYM National Secretary Poonam Mahajan.
Meanwhile, BJP Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.) who visited Yatri Bhawan, Institute of Engineers Hostel and city Police Station, where thousands of party activists including State Office beares,MLAs and national leaders of BJP and BJYM have been detained, expressed grave concern over the irresponsible attitude of the government for not providing them the adequate facilities of medicines, food, drinking water and other required necessities. Even no legal order was served till late night to these persons which illegal detention.
