Srinagar April 26 – Denouncing PDP’s dual trait of using under hand means to relish power and simultaneously shedding crocodile tears for resolution of Jammu and Kashmir centric issues, the Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah Sunday said that PDP flouted the imaginary idea of self rule on behest of BJP to scuttle the National Conference Autonomy resolution adopted by three-fourth majority of the State legislature.

Mr. Omar said that National Conference would continue to advocate its Autonomy resolution at all foras in the country and will play a pragmatic and positive role to help efforts aimed at restoring permanent peace and political tranquility in the state. He said National Conference has vehemently presented their point of view in the working groups regarding permanent settlement of all Jammu & Kashmir centric issues, adding that he has written to Justice Sageer Ahmed heading the working group on state centre relations, to resume the deliberations of the group so that National Conference will carry forward its Autonomy resolution proposal.
Chief Minister told the people that Lok Sabha elections are of greater significant for Jammu and Kashmir and success of coalition candidates all the more important for ensuring return of UPA government headed by liberal, secular able and progressive democrat Dr. Manmohan Singh. He said that UPA government in the past took important steps for restoration of peace in the sub continent and contributed whole heartedly. “The success of coalition candidate will mean return of Dr. Manmohan Singh and God forbid the defeat will strengthen the BJP at the centre as BJP and PDP are two faces of the same coin”.
