Poll: More Women Voters View Palin In Unfavorable Light

Soon, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden of Delaware are set to take part in the first and only vice-presidential debates. Palin is the running-mate for GOP Presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona and Biden is the running-mate for Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. So far, it is expected that the VP debate will be more exciting than the first US Presidential debate between McCain and Obama.

There is speculation that Biden may win over Palin in the VP debate. But, that is purely speculation. We really do not know what will actually happen in the VP debate.

But, this article is not about the VP debate. This is more about Sarah Palin. According to a new poll by TIME magazine, Palin is viewed favorable by 47% of voters. However, a good portion of those that view Palin unfavorably are women voters.

About 45% of women do not view Palin in a favorable light. This does not seem to bode well for Palin. It is revealed that 51% of women view Biden in a more favorable light and 27% of women view Biden in an unfavorable light. This may put a dent in McCain’s campaign even further.

When the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street failed to go through two times it was McCain that ended up suffering as a result.

In regards to women voters, Obama leads McCain by 55-38. It is obvious that women voters will play a pivotal role on who ends up winning the US Presidency in November.

Still, it is a poll. It is nothing more and nothing less than a poll. Remember, the results with the next poll can and will change. The result of tonight’s VP debate between Biden and Palin will shape the next several poll results.

Hopefully, the debate between Biden and Palin will be more interesting. The debate between Obama and McCain was “civil” and “tranquil” at best. While Obama and McCain throw soft punches, neither threw a devastating blow to the other.

It is highly likely that they will spar on the Violence Against Women Act. Overall, this debate should prove interesting and exciting.
