The opinion poll agency has revealed that the US remains the first desired destination in the world for migrants because of the established networks of potential migrants and thriving economic opportunities of that country. The US has the highest leadership approval ratings in the world, no other country compares with the US as the desired place to migrate for a better life.
A new poll reveals that people throughout the world find US as the first favourite and cherished place for new home. The Gallup said noting potential migrants are logically to come from some of the most populated countries of the globe. But, other populated countries like Iran and Pakistan do not have large groups of people who would like to move to the US permanently.
China is the first, Nigeria 2nd and India third largest in the race. About 10 million Indians would like to quit their country and shift permanently to the US for a bright future.
A Gallup survey of over half a million adults in 154 countries between 2010 and 2012 has revealed that about 630 million people have a longing desire to migrate to US forever. The 154 countries comprise of more than 98 per cent of the world’s adult population; out of which 3 per cent would like to relocate to the US permanently. About 19 million people from China, 13 million from Nigeria and 10 million from India would like to relocate to US on permanent basis. Iranians would prefer to move to Jordan or Lebanon and Pakistanis desire to relocate to Saudi Arabia and Britain. Gallup said that Iranians and Pakistanis have some of the lowest US leadership approval ratings in the world and that being the main reason for their relocation preference.
The highest percentages of people who would like to relocate to the US permanently are in Africa, Central America and the Caribbean and Cambodia in Asia. The other top choices for potential migrants are U.K.,Canada and France. About 42 million people want to move to U.K, 37 million to Canada, and 10 million to France for new home.
