President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry demands for peace and security in the country

President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry in a meeting at the Chamber said that terrorist activities are greatly leaving bad impact on the economic activities in the country. He said that security situation is deteriorating day by day, which needs to be controlled by the government to provide security to the general public and business community.He said that in the past couple of years, lots of efforts were made to attract the foreign investment in the country, but incidences of terrorism greatly hamper further investment in the country. He said that the image of Pakistan is being tarnished and it is very important to tighten the security in the country.He said that with terrorist activities a large number of families suffer that bring a big disaster to them. He said that for economic growth and sustainability measures should be taken to stop such activities otherwise trust of the foreign investors will gradually loose on Pakistan’s investment climate. Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi said that for growth of business activities, peace in the country is must. He said that the business community is already facing lots of problems due to shortage of energy and frequent terrorist incidences are putting more strain on their business activities. He said that under this situation, foreign businessmen are reluctant to come in Pakistan, as a result tourism in Pakistan is also damaging. He said that our country is blessed with beautiful tourism places, but under such circumstances, foreigners are reluctant to visit Pakistan.The President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry highly condemned terrorist activities and demanded for more security in the country, for the protection of lives of innocent peoples.
